Some of these rare nectars have been sourced from private collections in the past year, further enhancing the reputation of this wine cellar, under the guidance of sommelier João Barbosa. These 100 wines are the perfect way to elevate this product to the world stage, helping to spread the archipelago’s identity and wine heritage. The 100 Medos wine cellar is a tribute to Madeira’s wine tradition. Its unique geographical characteristics enhance the flavor of the grapes, and each sip is an unforgettable journey. The wine cellar also includes some of the best national wine products, including two wines by Octávio Freitas: Galatrixa and Cagarra. These two whites are made from the Madeiran grape varieties Malvasia Fina, Terrantez, Verdelho, and Sercial.
Each menu can be accompanied by a wine pairing that offers extremely high-quality wines from the different Portuguese wine regions, but this rule is not mandatory, and the customer can opt for the wine list
or even wine by the glass.
